In perfumery, a 'Nose' is a title earned, not given. Sileno Cheloni has spent a career proving why.

In perfumery, the title "Nose" is not handed out lightly. It belongs to the small number of perfumers who can hold hundreds of raw materials in memory and use them to write a story in scent. Sileno Cheloni is one of them, and the fragrances behind the Doré Scent collection carry his signature.
Cheloni's path began in Florence, where he founded Aquaflor Firenze, before going on to establish his own atelier and, later, Profumoir. Across that career he trained extensively in traditional Renaissance perfumery techniques: a discipline that treats fragrance less like a chemical formula and more like a craft passed down through generations of Florentine artisans.
That grounding shows in the client list his work has attracted: signature scents created for Gucci, Harrods, Lamborghini, Baglioni Hotels & Resorts and IWC Schaffhausen, among others. These are brands that treat scent as seriously as they treat their visual identity.
What distinguishes Cheloni's approach is where a composition begins. Rather than starting from an accord or a technical brief, each fragrance is built outward from a memory, an emotion, or an idea: the scent of stone warmed by sun, the hush of a hotel lobby at dusk, the particular calm of a Tuscan morning. The ingredients are chosen afterward, in service of that feeling.
It's a story-driven method more common in bespoke, luxury perfumery than in mass-market fragrance, and it's exactly why brands come to him when they want a scent that reads as considered, not generic.
The creative direction happens in Florence, but the compositions Cheloni designs are physically produced in Grasse, France, the historic capital of perfumery, and still home to the ingredient houses and production expertise that turn a formula into a consistent, scalable fragrance. It's a two-city story: the vision in Florence, the craftsmanship in Grasse.
That same production discipline (hypoallergenic formulas, full CLP/REACH safety documentation, consistent batch quality) is what Doré Scent brings to every fragrance in the collection, whether it's a ready-to-use scent or a fully bespoke composition for your brand.
